The United Church of Christ - Church of the Good Shepherd is one of more than 6000 congregations that make up the United Church of Christ.  Formed in 1957 by a merger of the Evangelical and Reformed Church and the Congregational Christian Churches, the UCC traces its history through the Protestant Reformation.
Open & Affirming Congregations - UCC Open and Affirming Congregations welcome people of all sexual orientations to the full life and ministry of the church.  Church of the Good Shepherd was one of the first Open and Affirming congregations in the denomination.
Illinois South Conference - Church of the Good Shepherd belongs to the Illinois South Conference of the United Church of Christ.  Click on this link, and you can read more about our conference.
